Prestwick Country Club hosts 8th Carolinas Net Am

 

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (November 9, 2018) -- 8th Carolinas Net Amateur Championship at the Prestwick Country Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from November 10-11, 2018.

Prestwick Country Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. will play host to the 8th Carolinas Net Amateur Championship this weekend. This is the first time Prestwick has hosted the Carolinas Net Am but the fourth time the championship has been hosted at a Myrtle Beach area golf course.

Last year the event was hosted at Pinehurst Country Club's Course No. 3 for the second time in championship history.

The Carolinas Net Amateur Championship is for men or women age 18 and over. This championship is conducted at 36 holes of net stroke play (net scores only; gross score less course handicap). Entry is open to any amateur golfer who maintains a residence in the Carolinas, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index®. Players use 100% of Course Handicap.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

 

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.

The CGF has distributed nearly $2,000,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
