Get To Know The 2019 CGA Interns: Aleema Jack

Aleema Jack - CGA Media Intern (Jacksonville, FL)

Aleema Jack is one of our media interns this summer helping cover the Carolinas Golf Association Championship season. You might see Aleema taking pictures of golfers on the course and if you play really well, you may even be interviewed by her. Aleema is our first international intern. She was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago.

She currently attends the University of North Florida while pursuing her master’s degree in Communication Management with an emphasis in Business. She previously graduated from Webber International University on a golf scholarship with her undergraduate degree in Business Marketing. Her work history is in the field of Business and Communications writing for local newspapers and analyzing analytics for business in Trinidad and Tobago. She has been instrumental in the sport of golf working and volunteering in Tournament Support. Aleema’s goal is to work in the golf industry while continuing to promote the spirit of the game.

  • Career Goals: working in the business of golf and golf operations.

  • Goals for this summer:

    • To improve content creation skills.

    • To improve the communication of information on social media sites while increasing engagement.

    • To increase overall knowledge and experience in all aspects of tournament operations especially prior tasks. E.g. sponsorship preparation.

  • Hobbies: Playing golf, Latin dancing

  • Enjoy playing golf? YES. I love playing golf.
