Carolinas Amateur Qualifier at Shadowmoss Plantation Rescheduled for July 8

Due to unplayable course conditions and continued forecasted rain amounts for Tuesday afternoon, July 2 into Wednesday, July 3, the Carolinas Amateur Championship sectional qualifier at Shadowmoss Plantation has been rescheduled for Monday, July 8. Shadowmoss Plantation has received over 23 inches of rain since June 1.

 

We realize there is now a conflict with the South Carolina Amateur Championship sectional qualifier at Lake Marion Golf Club in Santee, SC. There are currently 24 players scheduled to qualify for both events. In order to avoid this conflict, the CGA will conduct a concurrent Carolinas Amateur qualifier during the SC Amateur qualifier. The CGA requests that these 24 players compete at LakeMarion where there will be 3 qualifying spots plus ties for the Carolinas Amateur. The SCGA staff will have the list of players competing in both events.

 

For those players not competing in the SC Amateur qualifier, tee times at Shadowmoss will begin at 8:00am off #1 and #10 tees on Monday. The CGA will generate new starting times and groupings based upon the smaller field and will email those to players on Wednesday by 5:00pm. There will be 8 qualifying spots plus ties for the adjusted field.

 

Players who are unable to compete on Monday or do not wish to compete in the Carolinas Amateur dual qualifier at LakeMarion must contact the CGA office at 910-673-1000 or email: chris.nielsen@carolinasgolf.org in order to withdraw. If you do not contact us, we will assume you will compete at the Lake Marion SC Am site (if already entered there) or the Shadowmoss CGA Am site (if only entered there).Players who withdraw will receive a full entry fee refund.
