Hall shots 69 to win medalist award and #1 seed for match play in 18th NC Junior Girls'

Stroke Play Qualifying Results

Mary-Frances Hall of State Road, NC earned the number one seed in the NC Junior Girls’ Championship by firing a qualifying round of three under par 69 on the par 72 golf course at Starmount Forest CC in Greensboro, NC. Hall, a recent high school graduate, went out early in the second group and made the turn with a two under par 34. Two birdies, one bogey and a bundle of pars on the back side for a 35 and finished off the round of 69. Siranon Shoomee of Sanford, NC finished one shot back at 70 and will be seeded number two.

The top 32 girls advanced to match play and the cut fell at 89. The round of 32 for match play begins on Wednesday morning at 8 am with all 16 matches going off the first tee.

This annual junior championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
