Hilton Head Island, SC – Sectional qualifying results of the 36th Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship hosted by Dolphin Head Country Club in Hilton Head Island, on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 (6,606 yards, Par 36-36—72, (72.7/140).

Rob Simmons of Beaufort, SC and Paul Clark of Charlotte, NC posted one over par 73’s to spilt medalist honors.

The cut line fell at 79 as 8 players advanced to the 36th Carolinas Mid-Amateur Championship that will be played April 15-17, 2016 at Dataw Island Club (Cotton Dike) in Dataw Island, SC.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.

The CGF has distributed more than $1,500,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
