SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- The Tufts Archives and the Carolinas Golf Foundation are pleased to announce their partnership in hosting the 2nd Annual "Green" Friday, an opportunity for you, your family and friends to play golf on historic Pinehurst No. 2, on November 27. Instead of spending "Black" Friday at the retail shops, why not have a fun round of golf on the day after Thanksgiving? The fee is $275. Proceeds benefit the The Tufts Archives and the Carolinas Golf Foundation, 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.

The Tufts Archives has the largest known collection of original field sketches and golf course layouts drawn by famed golf course architect, Donald Ross. They preserve Pinehurst history through documents and correspondence, display golf artifacts and hold over 150,000 historic images. The Carolinas Golf Foundation was formed by the Carolinas Golf Association in 1977 to provide support for a variety of Carolinas-based golf initiatives. Donations are used to support and promote junior golf (including seven First Tee programs), women's golf, turfgrass research and scholarships, disabled golfers and many other worthwhile Carolinas projects.

Join us for "Green" Friday, avoid the shopping mobs, and support these worthy charitable causes.
