US Girls' Junior Qualifying Results - Colonial CC

 

THOMASVILLE, N.C. (June 24, 2021) -- Final results from U.S. Girls’ Junior Qualifying at Colonial Country Club in Thomasville, N.C. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 (6,047 yards, par 36-35--71).

Three qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site. 

Anna Howerton of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Ellen Yu of Greensboro, N.C. shared medalist honors after shooting one-over-par 72. Alexia Siehl of Fort Mill, S.C. claimed the third and final qualifying spot with a two-over-par 73. Grace Holcomb of Wilmington, N.C. and Sophie Lauture of Charlotte, N.C. each shot three-over-par 74 and headed for a playoff to determine the alternate positions. Holcomb won the playoff on the first hole and earned the first alternate position, giving Lauture the second alternate position.  

The qualifiers will advance to play at the championship at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, MD from July 12-17, 2021.

This USGA Qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association, on behalf of the United States Golf Association.
