Six Champions Crowned At Carolinas Net Amateur

 

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (November 16, 2021) -- Final results of the 11th Carolinas Net Amateur Championship at Southern Pines Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

The 2021 playing of the Carolinas Net Amateur Championship is complete, after two terrific days at redesigned and historic Southern Pines Golf Club. 

 

Steven Lee of West Columbia, S.C. captured the Men’s Division with a tournament net total of even par 142. Paul Baccellieri of Holly Springs, N.C. won the Senior Men’s Division with a two-day net total of 2-over-par, 144. Charles Taubersmith of Pinehurst, N.C. was victorious in the Super Senior Men’s Division with a tournament total of 1-over-par, 143.

 

In the Women’s Division Natalie Martinho-Stansbury of Raleigh, N.C. won her second title in a row at this event with a two-day net total of 15-over-par, 163. Tammy Johnson of Taylorsville, N.C. captured the title in the Senior Women’s Division with a tournament net total of 2-under-par, 146. Libby Lewallen of Pinehurst, N.C. captured her title in the Super Senior Women’s Division with a tournament net total of 7-over-par, 155.

 

The Carolinas Net Amateur Championship, hosted in collaboration with the Carolinas Golf Association, South Carolina Golf Association, and Women’s South Carolina Golf Association, consisted of 36 holes of net stroke play using 100% of player’s course handicaps. Players were placed into flights within their division for the final round.

 

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

 

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGF has distributed nearly $2,000,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
