US Women's Amateur Qualifying - CC of Salisbury

SALISBURY, N.C. (July 7, 2022) -- Final results from U.S. Women’s Amateur Qualifying at the Country Club of Salisbury in Salisbury, N.C. on Thursday, July 7, 2022. (6,222 yards, par 71).

Seven qualifying spots and two alternate spots were available at this qualifying site.

Ty Akabane of Honolulu, Hawaii won medalist honors with a round of four-under-par 67. Isabel Amezcua of Raleigh, N.C. shot three-under-par 68, Alice Hodge of Mooresville, N.C. and Abbey Daniel of Covington, Louisiana shot two-under-par 69s to claim their qualifying tickets. Emily Dunlap of Greenville, S.C. and Kayla Smith of Burlington, N.C. shot rounds of one-under-par 70 to claim the fifth and sixth qualifying positions. Four players shot even-par 71 and headed to a playoff to determine their final positions. Amanda Sambach of Pinehurst, N.C. birdied the second playoff hole to claim the final qualifying position. Emma Charles of Hartsville, S.C. will be the first alternate and Sydney Hackett of Ashburn, Virginia will be the second alternate.

The qualifiers will advance to the 122^nd U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington, from August 8-14, 2022.
