US Senior Women's Open Qualifying - CC of Salisbury

 

SALISBURY, N.C. (July 12, 2023) -- Final results from U.S. Senior Open Qualifying at the Country Club of Salisbury in Salisbury, N.C. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. (5,845 yards, par 71).

Six qualifying spots and two alternate spots were available at this qualifying site. 

Kathy Hartwiger of Pinehurst, N.C. won co-medalist and low amateur honors with a round of one-under-par 70. Denise Killeen of Canton, GA also shot one-under-par 70 to earn co-medalist honors. Lee Ann Walker of Southport, N.C. shot even-par 71, Pam Prescott of Piedmont, N.C shot two-over-par 73, Kelly Cap of Pinehurst, N.C. finished at three-over-par 74 and Lee Burton of Johns Island, S.C. fired a four-over-par 75 to claim the other four qualifying positions. Veronica Karaman of Pinehurst, N.C. finished at fiver-over-par 76 and will be the first alternate. Annette Deluca of Tequesta, FL won a four-for-one playoff to be the second alternate.

The qualifiers will advance to play in the championship at Waverly Country Club in Portland, Oregon from August 24-27.
