There’s nothing quite like competing for your home club, and the 2026 Interclub season is your chance to do just that. Registration is now open, and this year brings two new ways to get involved with the addition of Women’s and Gross Scoring Only divisions.

Interclub is one of the most popular team competitions run by the Carolinas Golf Association, offering meaningful match play, travel to other clubs, and the chance to test your team against others across North and South Carolina.

 

What Is Interclub?

Interclub is a Four-Ball match play team competition where golfers represent their home club against other clubs throughout the Carolinas. The season runs from March through July, combining regular-season matches with postseason play in select divisions.

 

Key Details You Should Know

Team Format

• 8-player teams for Carolinas, Senior, and Super Senior divisions

• 4-player teams for the Women’s and Gross divisions

Match Format

• Four-Ball match play

• 1 point awarded per hole

• 2-point bonus for a match win, 1 point for a tie

• 40 total points available per match

• 20.5 points wins the club-vs-club match

Handicap

• No maximum Handicap Index® requirement

• Gross Scoring Only Division does not use net scoring

Schedule

• 6 regular-season matches

  • 3 home matches

  • 3 away matches

• Regular season dates: March 2 – July 26

Playoffs

• Top 64 teams in the Carolinas, Senior, and Super Senior divisions qualify for playoffs

• Gross Division playoff format will be determined based on the number of registered teams

• Women’s Division will not have playoffs

Entry Fees

• Women’s Division: $200 per team

  • No playoffs

  • Pod winners receive CGA prizes

• Gross Scoring Only Division: $300 per team

  • Playoffs possible based on total registrations

• Carolinas, Senior & Super Senior Divisions: $400 per team

  • Teams receive CGA-logoed merchandise

Team registration closes Sunday, February 15 at 11:59 pm.
