Pinehurst Wins Ninth Women's Club Team Trophy

Kiawah Island, S.C. (November 6, 2025) – Pinehurst Country Club (A) takes home their 8th title at the 9th Women’s Club Team Championship at Kiawah Island’s Oak Point course.
Pinehurst (A)’s team was comprised of Toni Notaro, Amy Ellertson, Judy Penman, and Shirley Vaughn. They won by 17 strokes with 14-under score in the first round Scramble and a score of 1-over in the second round which was played in the Pinehurst Alternate Shot format.
In Round One, both Pinehurst (A) sides of Notaro/Ellertson and Penman/Vaughn shot 7-under 65 each putting them at a solid 14-under to lead the field.
In Round Two, their sides switched to Notaro/Vaughn and Penman/Ellertson for the Pinehurst Alternate Shot format, where each competitor hits their drive, then plays their partner’s ball, and then from there they choose which ball to finish the hole by alternating shots. The team finished 1-over in Round Two to finish with a total score of 13-under.
Pinehurst Country Club has won this event eight out of the nine years this championship has been contested.
Pine Needles finished in second place at 4-over after carding 7-under in Round One and 11-over in Round Two. In third place was Colonial Country Club who finished in third place at 5-over.

The Carolinas Division (Net) winning team was CC of Asheville (Sue Pregartner, Jennifer Yount, Carol Mills, Lynn Sletto) with a total score of 18-under. They posted 4-under in the Scramble and 14-under in the Pinehurst Alternate Shot.
