Applications Open for 2026-27 Team North Carolina and Team South Carolina
Applications are now open for the 2026-27 Team North Carolina and Team South Carolina, giving the Carolinas' top junior golfers another opportunity to be identified and developed through the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP).
Created by the United States Golf Association in 2024, the USNDP is designed to strengthen the junior golf pathway by providing elite athletes ages 13-18 with enhanced development, competitive and talent identification opportunities. A key component of the initiative is the creation of state junior golf teams that help identify and prepare players for future national opportunities.
North Carolina and South Carolina joined the USNDP state team initiative in 2025 and are among 16 states and regions currently participating in the program. Seven states were included in the initial phase of the initiative, with the goal of expanding to all 50 states by 2033. The program continues to grow through collaboration between the USGA, Allied Golf Associations, the PGA of America, PGA Sections and state junior golf organizations.
Selected athletes will have access to high-level coaching, player development opportunities and educational programming while representing their state as part of the USNDP pathway.
Junior golfers who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.
