SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (July 17, 2026) – A championship built on family tradition came down to three extra holes Friday in the Sandhills.

John Lewis and Dylan Lewis of Wilmington, N.C., emerged victorious after winning a three-hole playoff to capture the overall title at the 59th Carolinas Father-Son Championship. The duo carded an 8-under-par 64 at Legacy Golf Links before edging eight-time CGA champion Scott Harvey of Greensboro, N.C., and his son Cameron Harvey of Kernersville, N.C., in the playoff to claim the championship.

The modified alternate shot format once again produced a tightly contested leaderboard, with just two strokes separating the top five teams.

Tying for third at 7-under 65 were Jody DelVecchio and Jaydon DelVecchio of Newton, N.C., along with defending champions Scott Newton and Lincoln Newton of Wallburg, N.C.

Kevin Tindal of Rock Hill, S.C., and Jack Parrott of Columbia, S.C., rounded out the top five with a 6-under-par 66.

• Flight E: Michael Harwood & Chance Harwood (Stanfield, N.C.) – 3-under 69
• Flight F: Kristopher Phillips & George Phillips (Charlotte, N.C.) – Even-par 72
• Flight G: Jason Cogdill & Hampton Cogdill (Winston-Salem, N.C.) – 3-under 69
• Flight H: Steve Lassiter & Jay Lassiter (Pinehurst, N.C.) – 3-over 75
• Flight I: Tim Steelman & Brady Steelman (Winston-Salem, N.C.) – 2-over 74
• Flight J: Steven Libera & Dawson Libera (Lenoir, N.C.) – 3-over 75
