Vicki Disantis Girls' Exemptions

34 JUNIOR GIRLS EARN EXEMPTIONS INTO 10TH VICKI DISANTIS GIRLS’ CHAMPIONSHIP;
CHAMPION WILL BE INVITED TO COMPETE IN AJGA ROLEX GIRLS’ CHAMPIONSHIP
     The Carolinas Golf Association has announced the exemption criteria for the 10th Vicki DiSantis Girls’ Championship.  34 junior girls from across the Carolinas earn their exemption through 12 different tournaments over the past 12 months.  The dates for the 10th Vicki DiSantis Girls’ Championship are May 2-3, 2015 and will be hosted by Pine Island CC in Charlotte, N.C.  This year’s Vicki DiSantis champion will be invited to compete in the 2015 AJGA Rolex Girls’ Junior Championship at Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C. from June 8-12, 2015. 
     “The Carolinas Golf Association is excited about the tenth anniversary of what has become our biggest girls’ only event,” stated Director of Junior Golf Jason Cox.  “We wanted to reward those girls’ who have played well in our tournaments and granting them exemptions into the Vicki assures a very strong field.  We are also grateful that the American Junior Golf Association would recognize the strength of this tournament with an invitation for the champion to one of the most prestigious junior girls’ events in the country,” added Cox.
     Registration for exempt players opens on Monday, March 9th at 8 pm.  Non-exempt players may begin to register on March 24th at 8 pm.  A full field of 84 is expected for the tournament.
