Maureen Dunnagan and Kathryn Miranda Win 36th Carolinas Women's Four-Ball Championship

Cary, NC – Final results of the 36th Carolinas Women’s Four-Ball Championship hosted by MacGregor Downs Country Club on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.  Par 36-36—72   5819 yards (74.7/134).

Maureen Dunnagan and Kathryn Miranda of Lexington, SC convert a birdie on the first playoff hole to capture their first Carolinas Women’s Four-Ball title.  Miranda was able to get up and down on the par 4 eighteenth in regulation just to get into the playoff in regulation.  Defending champion, Lea Venable of Simpsonville, SC had a chance to win the championship outright but her birdie putt just missed the hole.  All three teams would head back to the 18th tee to vie for hardware but this time Dunnagan would make the birdie to win the championship.  The Miranda-Dunnagan duo carded four birdies while Courtney McKim of Raleigh, NC and Stephanie Pribonic of Wake Forest, NC carded six birdies on the day with four of them coming on the inward nine. 

In the tournament division Therese St. Peter and Donna Sisson of Durham, NC shot a five over par round of 77—149 along with Susan Harden of Beaufort, SC and Brenda Frye of Mt. Pleasant, SC to tie for first place.  This division plays a shorter course.

Players were placed into flights within their respective division.
