SC Junior Match Play Boys' Round of 64 Results

 

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (July 10, 2019) -- Boys’ Round of 64, Girls’ Round of 16, and Boys’ Round of 32 match play results of the South Carolina Junior Match Play Championship at Berkeley Country Club in Moncks Corner, S.C. from July 9-12, 2019. (Boys’ Division - 6,700 yards, Par 36-36--72) (Girls’ Division - 6,000, Par 36-36--72)

Boys’ Round of 64 Results:

 

As the top three seeds Willis Rogers of Charleston, S.C., Austin Scott of Charleston, S.C. and Elliott Pope of Lugoff, S.C. received a bye for the round of 64, Daniel Coker of Hartsville, S.C. was the top seed playing in this round. Coker defeated Luke Block of Bluffton, S.C. 8 and 6 and will be facing off against Jonathan Brennan of Taylors, S.C. in the round of 32.

 

The biggest upset of the round took place as Palmer Mason of Irmo, S.C. defeated Oliver Rotermund of Charleston, S.C. in 19 holes. Mason is the 57th seed and he managed to take down the eighth seed in a particularly exciting extra hole. Overall only five lower seeds won their matches and are moving on to the round of 32 matches.

 

Girls’ Round of 16 Results and Boys’ Round of 32 Results:

 

Due to the two inclement weather play suspensions this afternoon, many of the players were unable to finish their matches. Their current standings are listed below in the leaderboards. The players will pick back up where they left off at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow. After these rounds are finished the Girls’ Quarterfinals and Boys’ Round of 16 will begin at 9:00 a.m.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
