WHISPERING PINES, N.C. (November 10, 2019) – Final results of the 9th Carolinas Net Amateur Championship at the Country Club of Whispering Pines in Whispering Pines, N.C. on Sunday, November 10, 2019 (Par 36-36—72).

Six new champions were crowned at the Carolinas Net Amateur Championship at the Country Club of Whispering Pines (Pines Course). In addition to the overall champions, flight winners were also crowned.
In the Men’s Division, Alan Ryder of Aiken, SC scored a net score of one-over par 145 to win the championship.
In the Senior Men's Division, Dick Kuehl from Sanford, NC won with a two-day net score of eight-under par 136.
In the Super Senior Men's Division, Stephen McDevitt from Durham, NC posted a winning score of one-under par 143.
In the Women’s Division, Ann Watkins of Pinehurst, NC took home the title with a score of three-over par 147.
The Senior Women's Division was won by Rivia Brown from Winston Salem, NC, who shot a score of four-under par 140.
In the Super Senior Women's Division Ellen Ottlet of Sanford, NC took home the championship with a net score of three-over par 147.
The Carolina's Net Amateur Championship is 36 holes of net stroke play using 100% of player’s course handicaps. Players were placed into flights within their division after the first round of play.
The Carolinas Net Amateur Championship is run concurrently by the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA), South Carolina Golf Association (SCGA) and Women’s South Carolina Golf Association (WSCGA).
The Championship is conducted at 54 holes of four-ball stroke play competition. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 30 scores and ties for the final round. An on-course playoff is used to break a tie for the championship. Top 20 scores will receive merchandise.
