Emily Rapp of Greenville, S.C. and Jeremy Moore of Mount Pleasant, S.C. made a comeback from fifth place, straight to the top to take home the 15th Carolinas Mixed Team Championship.

“Emily hit pretty much every drive and I just played from there. She led the way,” said Moore. “My driver was good today and if I gave Jeremy any shot at birdie, he sank it. That allowed us to really score well today.”

Rapp and Moore carded 5-under-par, 67 in the alternate shot round today at Turtle Point. That propelled them to 7-under-par, 137 total to win the Championship Division by two strokes.

2019 runner-ups, Jaelyn Skinner and Alex Finke of Rock Hill, S.C. claimed second place again in a tie with Tara and Antoine Le Saux of Charlotte, N.C. at 5-under-par, 139 total.

Just one stroke behind the runner-ups, Jaclyn and Reid Smith of Clayton, N.C. finished solo fourth with a 4-under-par, 140 overall.

In the Tournament Division, round one leaders, Suzanne and Jason Gabriel of Claremont, N.C. widened their lead from two strokes to ten to take home the title. After firing an outstanding 8-under, 66 alternate shot round, they finished 10-under-par, 134 total.

Lea Anne Brown and Mark Hoover of Mount Pleasant, S.C. held onto their round one lead and claimed the Senior Division title for the second year in a row. Finishing 5-under-par, 139 total, Brown and Hoover won by a three stroke lead.

The round one Super Senior Division leaders, Dennis Slezak and Brenda Frye of Mount Pleasant, S.C., were also able to finish strong and close out the championship at 2-over-par, 146 total.
