CGA Celebrates 2025 CGAcers Club
SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (February 27, 2026) — The Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) recorded 160 hole-in-one submissions to the CGAcers Club during the 2025 season. These aces, made by golfers of all ages and skill levels across North and South Carolina, reflect the continued enthusiasm and participation of CGA members throughout the year.
Record Highlights
The longest hole-in-one of 2025 was made by JT Marsh of Randleman, N.C., who holed a 283-yard tee shot on the 11th hole at Reynolds Park Golf Course on June 7 using a driver.
The shortest ace of the year was recorded by Carol Ganelli of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., who made a hole-in-one from 73 yards on the 2nd hole at The Links at Brick Landing on April 11 using a 9-hybrid.
Golf for All Ages
The CGAcers Club continues to highlight the wide age range of golfers achieving hole-in-ones. One of the 2025 aces was recorded by a 5-year-old CGA member, demonstrating the game’s appeal across generations.
Multiple Aces
One CGA member recorded multiple hole-in-ones during the 2025 season.
Mike Hardin of Shelby, N.C., recorded three aces at Meadowbrook Golf Club. He made his first on February 1 on the 2nd hole from 120 yards with a pitching wedge. In November, Hardin recorded two additional hole-in-ones on the 14th hole. He aced the hole from 126 yards with a 9-iron on November 21 and again from 128 yards with a 9-iron on November 23.
CGA Member Club Participation
CGA member clubs played an important role in participation in the CGAcers Club during 2025. Shadowmoss Golf & Country Club recorded the most submissions with 12 reported hole-in-ones.
Annual Contest Winners
The CGA announced the winners of the 2025 CGAcer Hole-in-One Club Contest, selected in a random drawing from all CGA members who submitted a hole-in-one during the year:

Melissa Guerdan of Chapel Hill, N.C., who made her hole-in-one on the 12th hole, 119 yards with a 7-iron, at Governors Club in June.

Terry Heath of Cary, N.C., who made a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole, 90 yards with a wedge, at Finley Golf Club in June.

Alex Stanley of Holly Ridge, N.C., who made his hole-in-one on the 12th hole, 152 yards with an 8-iron, at North Shore Golf Course in October.
Each winner will receive CGA merchandise and golf essentials.
Entries Open for 2026
The CGA encourages all members to report their hole-in-ones during the 2026 season. Submissions are eligible for inclusion in the CGAcers Club and entry into the annual random drawing.
The deadline for 2026 submissions will be January 15, 2027. Members can find the submission form and additional details at www.carolinasgolf.org/cgacers.
