CGA Interclub Standings Update

SOUTHERN PINES, NC -- The Interclub regular season is heading down home stretch and before you know it, the Playoffs will start. With 4-5 weeks remaining, 37 matches (following those matches played today and tomorrow) will be contested barring any weather issues. Many teams are still in the hunt for a playoff spot.

 NOTE: Due to course renovations caused by winter-kill and other scheduling conflicts, the Interclub calendar has been extended an extra week in order to complete match play competition. August 23rd is the new target date to complete the regular season. As a reminder, these matches can also be played during the week if both Captains can agree on a date. A minimum of six players qualifies as an acceptable match.

A summary of the season thru July 26 follows with some notes and reminders. This week-end has a busy schedule with 17 matches to be completed by Sunday evening;

2015 Interclub Regular Season Notables as of July 26:

Ø  Matches completed/results submitted  – 180

Ø  Matches remaining – 54 (Including today & tomorrow)

Ø  Missing and/or Re-scheduled match dates missing in TPP – 6 (see below) 

River Run Golf & CC #2 and Coharie CC  lead with Overall Points of 15 apiece and 5 & 1 identical won/loss records. Providence CC, Verdict Ridge CC, Ft. Mill GC, Pinehurst CC No. 7-9, Maple Chase CC #1 and New River CC follow closely with 4 wins and 12 points in their respective POD standings.

22 teams have 3 wins while another 27 teams have one or two matches remaining and an opportunity to add that 3^rd win.

12 teams have completed their regular season including The GC @ Cedar Creek/Aiken which is in a three team Pod. 29 additional teams will complete their regular season following their next match.

A REMINDER TO ALL CAPTAINS:

 

1. With many courses undergoing renovation due to “winter kill” and/or other issues, captains can agree to compete at neutral sites or at the opponent’s course if agreeable.

 

2. Be advised that current scoring profiles (posting of scores) for randomly selected Interclub players will be routinely reviewed. Team captains and players will be informed of questionable scoring histories.

 

3. Please remember to include players ESC scores BEFORE submitting match results in TPP. In addition, the match DATE must be set for scores to post in GHIN.

 

4. Please post all match dates in TPP especially before submitting results. Re-scheduled match dates can and should be changed.
